Apple Almond Kamut Breakfast Cereal
Serves 4
- 1 1/2 cups kamut flakes
- 3 cups water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup dried apples, cut into medium sized pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup whole almonds
Combine all ingredients except almonds in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer, and cover. Cook about 15 minutes. Add almonds and cook an additional 5 minutes. Serve plain or top with milk or soymilk.
