Wakame Broth for Miso Soup
- 1 piece wakame (6 inch strip)
- soaking water for wakame
- 5 cups water for soup
Place wakame in water to cover and soak 10 minutes. Remove wakame and discard water. Chop the wakame and place in pot with water for soup. Cover, bring to a boil, and then proceed with basic miso recipe, adding vegetables and cooking over medium-low heat before adding miso.
