Baked Tofu
The easiest way to prepared tofu is to bake it. Use either fresh tofu or fresh tofu that has been frozen and then thawed. We like it sliced but it can also be cubed.
Serves 4
- 1 teaspoon olive or sesame oil
- 1 lb fresh (or thawed frozen) extra-firm tofu, cut in 1/2" slices
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme, dill, or other favorite culinary herb
- 1 tablespoon tamari soy sauce
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place tofu slices in a single layer in a 9 X 13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with seasoning and tamari and bake for 25–30 minutes.
